2001: HMS Pinafore
( or The Lass that Loved a Sailor )

Renamed "Pinafourteen" for this production, Girton Operatic's interpretation included references to all 14 of Gilbert & Sullivan's operettas, as hinted at in the posters for the show (below left). The show started with a scene on the Island of Utopia after which Captain Corcoran returned to his ship, but not before several stowaways including a bride, two Utopians and three little maids from school had managed to get on board...
